Ute Creek Outfitters in NM - Anyone hunt with them?
« on: February 17, 2010, 12:58:25 PM »
Thinking of booking a hunt with Ute Creek outfitters out of Costilla NM.  Has anyone ever huntied with them, or hunted the area before?

Would love a reference on them if you are willing to provide it (good or bad).

yeah, we are doing that, but I figure that is a lot like checking references provided by a job applicant...  they will only provide good references.

I checked www.huntingreport.com but did not see them listed.

yeah, some outfitter do that. i ask for a list of all the hunter that they had for the last hunting season. that usally works most good outfitters don't have a problem with it, other just say they won't do that and it tells me allot about that outfitter on what the the answer is as well. if i am going to spend thousands of dollars they can take 10 mins and send me a list of there hunter. is my :twocents:
